MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WPDE) — One woman was arrested in relation to a No Kings protest in Myrtle Beach, according to the Myrtle Beach police Department (MBPD).
Police officials say at 2:09 p.m., officers from the Myrtle Beach Police Department observed an individual in a vehicle brandishing a firearm while traveling near the planned demonstration.
The individual was taken into custody without incident.
Police identified the suspect as Mary Moriarty, 59, of Surfside Beach, South Carolina. She has been charged with pointing and presenting a firearm.
Moriarty is scheduled to have a bond hearing at 9 a.m. on Sunday.
